Airplanes and Towers and Germs, Oh My!

Since the ice and snow haven't been as tough for getting outdoors lately, we've been enjoying a few more outings, including a morning spent playing with Legos at the Mall of America. It's every kid's dream and every germaphobe's worst nightmare: piles upon piles of Legos, unwashed masses of children, and choking hazards galore.

After whipping out the camera to capture a few shots of our morning fun, I joined the wee ones in building airplanes and towers until we were all played out. It was a treat for the kids to be able to get out and play somewhere other than our house and their creativity and imaginations continue to amaze me. It wouldn't surprise me if I have a future engineer growing up in this house, what with the talk about structurally-correct buildings. After all, everyone knows that you can't have a Lego house without four walls and a roof!
