World's Best

World's Best Donuts
It's a little-known fact that I absolutely adore donuts. If I could, I would survive solely on those heavenly chocolate and sprinkle-enhanced delicacies. Fortunately for me, we don't have any particularly wonderful donut places close to our current house and though it was tempting to make that a requirement for our next place, I have (thus far) resisted.

While we were up north, we ran across a little shop that claimed to have the "world's best donuts." For someone like me, that's a pretty lofty claim and I couldn't wait to check it out. Unfortunately, since we were traveling in the off-season, they had battened down the hatches until spring. So while Jonathan and I continued exploring other mouth-watering delicacies of the north (Sven and Ole's anyone?), we have already begun discussing the possibility of taking a weekend in the summer to do a little more exploring.

It's only a five hour drive, after all. Practically nothing for the world's best donut, am I right?

  1. Joe and I vacationed up near Grand Marais on the off season and were so bummed that all the cool shops and restaurants were closed. We've already planned a vacation back up there this summer! Happy Anniversary!

  2. We go there whenever we pass through Grand Marais!!! They are delicious! My grandparents first brought me there when I was little and Paul and I got a huge bag of donuts to eat there while we were in the area for our Honeymoon 6.5 years ago! Definitely go back to get some someday! :)
