Life Lessons

Life Lessons
Lately, we've been scraping the bottom of the barrel for ideas of fun things to do with the kids while we're out and about during house showings. We've done the mall, walks, exploring the community center, sledding, and more. If you name it, we've done it to keep ourselves busy for a few hours so people could peek into our closets. This past weekend was no exception as we had multiple back-to-back showings that were slated to keep us out of our home for hours on end.

We had a family adventure. We ate a leisurely lunch, practically begging the kids to take their time, and then we finally threw up our hands and went to stroll the aisles of Target. Unsurprisingly, we ended up in the toy aisle where we easily wiled away our time playing with Elmo and Dora.

It was an adventure, to be sure, but I think it's safe that if I have to spend much more time playing with the demo Tickle Me Elmo, that Sesame Street characters are going to begin to haunt my nightmares. So spare me death by Big Bird... where would you take two wee ones for a few hours?
