Photos for Christmas

Portrait
Festive Smiles
Kisses
We recently took a family outing to snap some pictures for our Christmas card. While the actual photo we chose won't be published until December 25th (it's tradition, folks), we wanted to share a couple cute shots we managed to get in-between the tantrums and a certain little lady face-planting on the ground. Yeah, it was like that.

Honestly, have you tried manning the tripod, bribing for smiles, and doing it all in three and-a-half inch heels? Ten mom points for me. Hear me roar. All of that said, watching the toddler give his sister sweet kisses to make her feel better made it all worthwhile.

With these little ones, it always seems as though they're excited to get in front of the camera and take photos until there's a deadline (like Christmas cards). As challenging as it was, by the time it was over, everyone was happy and we even enjoyed a few minutes playing at the park. And thank goodness we don't have to go through this for another 365 days. Whew!

  1. Ours were just about as circus like. No heels for me though. ; ) Me holding Avery, Mike setting the timer, running to pick up Garrett, running to the spot where Avery and I were standing, and trying to keep Garrett's hands out of his mouth and nose. Good times! haha!

    1. Thanks Julie! I get a lot of them online but I've also had some pretty fantastic finds at local thrift/vintage stores! It's the thrill of the hunt ;)
