Week 39

Week 39 has come and gone and, boy, what a week it was! It was the week where we were finally forced to set an induction date. It was the week where the toddler and I walked over eight miles and spent countless hours bouncing on a birthing ball. It was the week where Jonathan and I officially placed our bets on exactly which day the baby would be arriving.

Despite the full moon and the fact that we tried dancing the baby out at a friend's wedding this past week, we were both wrong.

In and amongst all the walking and other labor-inducing activities, we spent a lot of time together as a little family of three. Sure, we were desperately trying anything that had even a remote promise of sending us into labor, but as I explained to my mother, if it came down to an induction, I needed to know that I had done everything humanly possible to force, bribe, or otherwise lure the baby out of my body.

We have a couple more days to go, but Friday is marked on our calendars. As much as we're trying to relax, the pressure is on and Mission Give Birth is officially in full-swing.
