Some Days, Ice Cream Isn't an Option

From time to time, every parent feels as though they don't measure up. Little Johnny or Sue down the road are so perfectly behaved that they have already achieved sainthood, but your little hellion would prefer to spend his days pulling the legs off ants and counting the gray hairs on your head. But instead of going over all of the nitty gritty details about exactly why yesterday was one of those days in our house, I wanted to share my favorite way of combating that mindset, one which involves an obscene amount of sugar.

Last night, we packed up the toddler and my very pregnant belly and headed out the door to one of the best ice cream shops in town, Ring Mountain. (If you're a local in the Twin Cities area, we highly recommend it!) Naturally, the toddler was thrilled.
Oooh
We all consumed a dangerous amount of sugar.

But I am relieved to tell you that the toddler was the only one trying to climb on the table after eating the sweets.
Sugar High
It was a delicious way to end a day with the toddlerzilla. Because, some days, ice cream isn't an option. It's a necessity.
