You Know You're a Minnesota Mom When...

1. Forty degrees outside is balmy walk weather.

2. You're willing to haul a stroller over a snowbank to keep walking on the sidewalk.

3. You begin plotting the weatherman's demise when he informs you that your plans to play in the puddles with your toddler will be thwarted by ice. Again.

4. You rationalize wearing a spring jacket in thirty-degree temperatures because running errands with a toddler is an exhausting sweatfest that not even Richard Simmons could handle.

5. A blizzard is just the excuse you needed to stay home in your pajamas all day long.

  3. I think most of these work for Michigan too. ; ) I think I've worn my jacket 4 times total, all winter.

  4. So very true. Although, my Boy and I braved the "blizzard" in Duluth today to go to Caribou, and then to Grandma and Grandpa's house. Because that's another MN Mom thing. Braving the elements.

p.s. The "blizzard" that hit Duluth today consisted of a dusting of snow, and a strong breeze. I think the weathermen were trying to get one last winter storm panic out of us for the season.

  5. I could have written this post! Thank you so much for posting this. I live in Vermont and I seriously thought I was the last blogger on earth who is waiting for warmer weather! Glad I'm not alone!

  6. I can relate in so many ways. I just came across your blog through my lurking on The Bump. I am also 18 weeks pregnant and have a soon-to-be two year old on the loose. I am adding your blog to my Google Reader!!
I hope that you are enjoying a little "nicer" day out today.
