All I Want for Christmas is Anti-Nausea Medication

Friends, the time has come. I can finally tell you all that the recent lapse in blogging isn't because I've suddenly been struck by the Christmas spirit in a waft of cookies and garland. Nor is the lack of posting due to the fact that my almost-toddler is determined to stick his chubby little fingers into an electrical outlet before the beginning of 2011. No, this lack of blogging is due largely in part to the fact that my body has staged a mutiny these past few weeks in the form of waves of nausea.

It's exciting really. You never know when it will strike.

But it's not because I've fallen ill with some sort of bacon-related flu. In fact, some would even say that I asked for this, hoped for it, and prayed for it.

Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to introduce you to Peanut, the newest member of our family of four. Our wonderful little Peanut will be joining us sometime next August and we couldn't be more excited to finally share this news with all of you!

This Christmas, we're celebrating the fact that Nathaniel has a little brother or sister. And while we're opening our stockings on Christmas morning, you can rest assured that I will be snacking on Saltines and hoping that Santa left a little Zofran before going back up our chimney.

To you and yours, a Merry Christmas! May you enjoy your holiday free of nausea and laden with many cookies!

  6. Congratulations Alyssa! I'm due with #2 in August as well! Bring on the zofran....it really is a life saver. I was sick for my entire first pregnancy. Not as bad this time, but still the nausea is ROUGH! I hope this passes soon for both of us. :o)

  14. Congratulations! I'm so sorry about the nausea! I can relate. Had it terribly with my second pregnancy. Maybe its a girl???? Zofran definitely helped me. Also try ginger tablets {at the health food store} and I think B6 can help as well. Blessings!!
