Good Butt Jeans

Everyone has a favorite pair of jeans. Now for those of you who don't know me in real life, I LIVE in jeans. Every. Single. Day. In fact, the only time I'm not wearing a comfy pair of jeans is when they're covered in baby poo and can't wait on the laundry anymore.

Once I got pregnant last year, my favorite jeans didn't last long. They weren't the tiniest jeans I owned, but somewhere between the 650th chocolate chip cookie and portion sizes that put my husband's appetite to shame, they miraculously shrunk 2 sizes.

Ever since they were banished to the back of my closet, I've gazed at them longingly. And this week, I finally pulled them out.

Now let's be clear. I haven't lost all of the baby weight and these jeans fit like a dream before I got pregnant. So they're not exactly the perfect size right now. But I'm wearing them. And they button. So I count it a success.

For reasons I don't completely understand, these jeans make me feel really good about myself. Even though I have ten pounds of baby weight firmly entrenched around my waist, I feel like these jeans make that ten pounds look like 2. And when I describe them to my husband, he knows exactly which pants I'm talking about when I say "good butt jeans."

Every woman needs a pair of jeans that make her feel like a million bucks. And for those of us who have had babies, we hope that our good butt jeans hide the remnants of the muffin-top that came along with our bundles of joy. But if all else fails, at least we know that we look good from the back!

  1. I know EXACTLY what you mean! I got mine on last week too! Isn't it great knowing you've lost all your baby weight at least (me too!), even if you want to loose more (me too!) and even if it's not were it used to be (me too!, at least the baby weight is gone and you're "skinny jeans" are on! Woo hoo!

  2. I LOVE your blog!!! I owned a speciality boutique in Atlanta, GA called Blue Genes for 9 years. We just closed this past June due to the economy.....I miss my jeans!!!!!
