CuteyBaby Diapers: Forging Ahead with the Cloth Saga

I don't know about all the other cloth-diapering mamas out there, but we seem to have problems with velcro attachments when we toss our diapers into the wash. So when I heard about a diaper with REMOVABLE VELCRO TABS, I was thrilled. And decided that we needed to try one immediately.

CuteyBaby makes an adorable all-in-one diaper. Their product has a waterproof shell with a separate insert, which is attached to the back of the diaper. Which means no more digging around in your laundry pile, looking for a missing insert while you pray that your little boy doesn't explode in a fountain of pee!

Additionally, CuteyBaby produces biodegradable, flushable liners (which I simply fell in love with once I tried them). The liner lays on the inside of the diaper and catches solid waste so washing out the diapers before storing them in the pail becomes a much simpler task for a busy mama.

The CuteyBaby customer service department sent out a sample diaper (in my favorite pattern, I will have you know) and I immediately strapped it to Nathaniel's bottom. I have to admit, I was pretty excited when I heard the poop noises, since I couldn't wait to see if the diaper and liner lived up to my expectations.
Upon inspection, the diaper was dirty with both pee and poo. Most of the poop had been caught on the liner, which made cleanup a dream. Unfortunately, we did experience a small amount of pee leakage around the legs which precipitated a clothing change for the little guy.

Into the wash the dirty diaper went, and I am pleased to report that removing the velcro tabs made washing this diaper much easier than I expected! Gone were the days of prying velcro tabs off of the liners while muttering
somewhat questionable phrases at my washing machine.

After using the diaper consistently for a couple weeks, it's safe to say that the removable velcro tabs make this diaper truly unique among its competitors, but we have experienced quite a few leaks during its use. Most occurred around the legs, but we also experienced one very large leak up and out the back when we used the diaper overnight. Thank goodness for sheet-savers.

Because CuteyBaby sent out two products, I decided to rate the liners separately. Because I'm so in love with the idea of a flushable poop catcher.

CuteyBaby Biodegradable Diaper Liners

Overall Value

Looking back at our experiences with CuteyBaby, it's undeniable that they have some of the cutest diapers on the market today (you can check out the patterns here). Their company has made a diaper that is very mama-friendly and easy to wash, but after enduring multiple leaks (and subsequent clothing changes), I can't help but wish that the diapers were a bit more adjustable.

Disclosure: I was not paid to write a review on either the CuteyBaby Modern Cloth Diapers or the CuteyBaby Biodegradable Diaper Liners. Although I received both items for the purposes of a review, the opinions expressed are my honest view of the products. My thanks to CuteyBaby for providing their products.
