The Secret Is Out

The secret is out because mama finally figured it out today- all the fussing and drooling wasn't an unhappy or tired baby. It was because MY BABY HAS A TOOTH!

That's right, my little two-month-old baby has a tooth. One of his bottom teeth has poked through and my little guy is chomping away on daddy's hand as I type because all of his teethers are too big to fit in his teeny tiny mouth.

So if any of you lovely readers have good suggestions for teethers, bring them on! We are officially teething. God help us all.

  1. My goodness! You know, I should really check out Vivian's mouth because she's been super fussy and drooly and chewing on her hands all the time. I wonder if she's sprouting teeth. :)

  2. It would be worth checking! Nathaniel has been drooling and chewing on his hands lately but I didn't think to check his mouth because I thought it was too early for teeth... and then I saw the tooth tonight!

  3. I think Ella Grace is working on one as well...

my MIL suggested taking one of the baby wash clothes and getting it wet, rolling it into a "log" and then freezing it. We actually have done this for our dogs in the past when they were puppies and wanted to chew but raw-hides were still too tough. If you try it out, let me know hoe he likes it!

  4. I was going to suggest the washcloth, but it looks like someone else did :D Sophia loves to chew on cool wet washcloths. I also read that pressing your fingers along their gum line, although it sounds like it would hurt, can be soothing for them too.

  5. I am terrified about Lauren getting her first tooth. My mom said that I was awful while teething :( Hope it goes well for you.

  6. I can't believe he has a tooth so young! Mikayla can wait awhile before getting teeth. Teething sound horrendous.

  8. I wanted to have you check these out. The reviews are pretty helpful (mentioning FDA approval and a review by a family dentist). Good luck with the teething!!
