Losing the Spare Tire: Results Show Week 1

As promised folks, we are at the end of week one in the process of losing the spare tire (a.k.a. 15 pounds of baby weight and 5 pounds beyond that), and as I sit here with my cup of hot chocolate, I have the results of the first week... I lost one pound!

Granted, one pound in the span of a week isn't an impressive total when I have nineteen more to go, but given the fact that I ate literally everything I wanted this past week and only worked out once thanks to some very sore muscles and a fussy baby, I feel pretty good about it! Apparently, nursing is making a difference, something which I hope will continue in the coming weeks.

My goal for this coming week is to eat healthier and to work out more than once. I'm not going to deprive myself of every food that I enjoy, hence the hot chocolate, but I'm going to make an effort to limit the number of "bad" food choices that I make. This also means that I will be trying to eat more vegetables (the food group that I despise the most), but in order to conquer those remaining nineteen pounds, I'm just going to have to deal with it.

So in an effort to fit into my pre-pregnancy "skinny" jeans, I am braving the beginning of week two...

  1. You can do it! Breast feeding is huge! I lost all my baby weight plus 7 lbs in about 8 weeks and I owe it to breast feeding...and water :D Hope you have a good weekend
