Day Eighteen: Operation Carter's

Today was a very big day for us! Day eighteen in the adventures of the stay at home mom included working out, shopping, breaking out the Bumbo, and some good ol' fashioned snuggle time!

After feeding my little guy this morning, I found myself suddenly motivated and grabbed the time for a quick workout with Jillian Michaels, who I find myself hating progressively less and less as I am getting a bit stronger.

With a workout and lunch under my belt for the day, I decided to conquer the challenge of going to the Mall of America with Nathaniel. We had previously gone out to a smaller mall as a family, but never had we gone out to the Mall of America just the two of us. I packed up my little boy in his carseat, loaded our stroller into the car, and off we went!

I wouldn't have conquered the challenge of going to the mega mall, but for one store...
Of all the children's clothing stores in the Minneapolis area, I simply can't stay away from Carter's. Their onesies are a saving grace for mothers everywhere as they are infinitely easier than trying to wrestle a baby into an outfit (something I have become far too familiar with over the last few weeks).

We picked up a few more onesies at Carters before heading to the grocery store and then going home. Since Nathaniel continues to grow so quickly and has become so strong in the last few weeks, I decided to try out the Bumbo for the first time.

For those that don't know, the Bumbo (pictured above) is a baby chair that helps infants sit up before they are able to do so by themselves.

Nathaniel seemed to like the Bumbo so we will definitely be using it in the future and I have to say a huge thank-you to my future sister-in-law for thinking of getting us this awesome baby item while we were expecting our little boy!

Speaking of expecting, I can finally offer my congratulations to Rosa, one of my closest and oldest friends, who announced this past week that she and her husband Andrew are expecting their first baby in July! I'm so excited that Nathaniel will have a playmate close to his age and I can't wait to meet their little one! Congratulations on your baby guys!

  1. Hi! Just wanted to say that somehow I stumbled across your blog about a week or two ago, and I've since been following. I love how often you update and how real you are. Your son is adorable! Good luck with losing the extra weight, you can do it! :)

  2. OMG..Carter's that is! There is one in a mall about 15 miles from my house. The last time I went, about a month before I delivered, I walked out with $100 worth of stuff. I'm not allowed to go back! My mom is visiting next week and hopefully she will want to "walk the mall" with me and we will happen to surprisingly stumble upon that store! Oh and if you haven't checked it out, I have some cute pictures of Abigail conquering the Bumbo this week.
